Mark Teixeira (wrist) is not ready to hit soft-toss and has not been cleared for tee drills. Teixeira hasn't suffered a setback, but he is not progressing very rapidly from his right wrist strain. "We are taking it slow," the first baseman acknowledged to reporters on Sunday. He had been aiming to return on May 1 but that obviously isn't going to happen.
