Mark Teixeira will undergo an ultrasound on Thursday in hopes of confirming that he's only dealing with some inflammation in his surgically-repaired right wrist. "He's 99 percent sure that this is inflammation from overuse and completely expected," Teixeira said, referring to Dr. Keith Raskin, who performed the operation. "He was surprised I didn't have more flare ups so it's been pretty good all season." Teixeira played through some soreness for a few games before deciding it was best to take a little time off. He's likely to take a third straight day of rest Wednesday before hopefully returning to action Friday after the off day.
