Mark Teixeira smashed a pair of home runs and drove home five in Friday's 6-5 victory over the Angels. Teixeira finished the game 2-for-4 with the critical blasts. His first, a two-run shot off C.J. Wilson in the third inning, gave the Yankees a 2-1 lead. He then added a three-run blast off Scott Downs in the eighth inning that tied the game at five and set the stage for a comeback victory. Typically a much better performer in the second half of the season, expect big things from Teixeira over the next few months.
