Mark Teixeira left Monday's game after injuring himself in the seventh inning while diving for a ball in the field. Teixeira attempted to stab a J.J. Hardy grounder and left the field grimacing. Eric Chavez shifted from third to first and Jayson Nix entered the contest playing the hot corner. Teixeira hurt either his hand or wrist on the play. New York has not yet revealed the injury or its severity.
