Mark Teixeira has reported improvement with his strained left calf but is expected to be sidelined for at least another week. It's no surprise as Teixeira is just four days into his 1-2 week timetable. The fact that the Yankees are playing three games on artificial turf in Tampa next week ensures that the first baseman is still at least a week away. It doesn't appear to be a long-term concern, though.
