Mark Teixeira (calf) is back in the Yankees' starting lineup Monday. Teixeira hasn't played since aggravating his left calf strain on September 8, but he made it through an instructional league game Saturday without any issues. Now he's back for a critical series against the Red Sox. The 32-year-old first baseman returns to a .255/.336/.478 batting line to go along with 23 home runs, 81 RBI and an .814 OPS in 120 games.
