Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune writes that Carlos Quentin (shoulder) "didn't sound overly convincing" when talking about the possibility of playing Friday. White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen is still hopeful Quentin will be ready to give it a go at some point over the weekend, but it sounds like Saturday or Sunday is a more likely possibility. The outfielder left Saturday's game after making a diving catch and was subsequently diagnosed with a sprained AC joint in his left shoulder.
