Mariners manager Eric Wedge said Friday that Brendan Ryan (neck) is likely done for the season. Ryan underwent an MRI earlier this week, which revealed a disc issue in his upper back. Barring sudden improvement, the 29-year-old infielder will finish the season with a .248/.313/.326 batting line to go along with three homers, 39 RBI and a .639 OPS over 494 plate appearances. Ryan avoided arbitration last offseason by agreeing a two-year, $2.75 million contract, so he will make $1.75 million in 2012.
