Marco Scutaro went 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI in Boston's 14-5 victory over the Padres on Monday.
His lone RBI came after getting hit with the bases loaded in the seventh inning, in what turned out to be the first of many insurance runs scored by the Red Sox that inning. Since returning from the disabled list on June 7th, Scutaro is 16-for-44 (.364), lifting his average from .235 to .286. The 35-year-old shortstop is still getting it done at the plate, and as long as he's hitting in one of the majors' highest powered lineups, he'll continue to receive his share of run-producing opportunities.
