Marco Scutaro (back) will not play Tuesday. The Red Sox are taking on the Rays in a day-night doubleheader. Scutaro has been battling a stiff back for a few weeks and the Red Sox want to get him healthy for the stretch run. Mike Aviles is playing shortstop in the first game Tuesday.
