Marco Scutaro (back) hopes to return to the starting lineup Saturday. Scutaro hasn't played since Saturday due to back spasms, but opposed to Kevin Youkilis, he is expected to avoid the disabled list. Mike Aviles will fill in for him again Friday night against the Royals while Jed Lowrie plays the hot corner.
