Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times hears that the Marlins are "getting closer" to trading Yunel Escobar. The Rays remain in the hunt for the shortstop, and Topkin says the A's, Yankees and Cardinals also in the mix. FOX Sports' Jon Morosi reported earlier Tuesday that the Red Sox and Cubs have also kicked the tires. Escobar seems likely to be traded somewhere before the end of the Winter Meetings.
