Manuel Pina (knee) is scheduled to begin a minor league rehab assignment with the Royals' Arizona League affiliate. Pina has been on the disabled list all season following surgery in February to repair torn cartilage in his right knee. The 25-year-old backstop will likely be optioned to Triple-A Omaha once he's back to full health.
