Manny Machado will be sidelined for the next 6-8 weeks after being diagnosed with a torn medial patellar ligament in his left knee. All things considered, it's great news, as Machado's ACL and MCL are intact. He'll be allowed to resume light running in 6-8 weeks and is expected to be fine for spring training. Machado's 2013 campaign ends on a sour note, but the 21-year-old still put up a solid .283/.314/.432 batting line with 14 homers, 71 RBI and 51 doubles.
