Manny Machado mania ramped up in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Royals, as the rookie third baseman hit his third home run in four games since making his MLB debut.
Machado took Bruce Chen deep for a two-run blast in the second. It was his only hit in four trips to the plate, but that doesn't dampen the fact that Machado is now hitting .375/.375/1.125 with five extra-base hits and seven RBI since being summoned from Double-A Bowie on Wednesday. Far from a finished product, Machado will cool off - likely considerably - but he should be owned in all formats for the time being.
