Manny Machado (knee) will take two simulated at-bats during an extended spring training game Saturday. It's the first time he's participated in any game action since last October's surgery to repair a torn medial patellofemoral ligament in his left knee. Machado has yet to resume running the bases, which will be a bigger step than the hitting. The Orioles haven't placed a timetable on Machado's return, but he seems unlikely to be back before the end of the month.
