Manny Machado (knee) received a second opinion from Dr. James Andrews on Monday and will rest and rehab rather than undergo surgery. This confirms the diagnosis from team orthopedist Dr. John Wilckens last week. Machado has a torn medial patellar ligament in his left knee and will require 6-8 weeks of rehab, but the expectation is that he'll be fine for spring training.
