Manny Corpas has elected free agency. Corpas was outrighted off the Cubs' 40-man roster Friday but has decided to test out free agency rather than accept a minor league assignment. The 29-year-old posted a 5.01 ERA in 48 appearances in his first full season since coming back from Tommy John surgery.
