Manager Walt Weiss labeled Gonzalez as "day-to-day" heading into Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports. "Just one or two days," Weiss said. "But with the hand, it is always a little concerning with hitters...there is always a concern it could linger, but we don't think it's anything serious." X-rays conducted on Gonzalez's sprained left hand Monday showed no damage to the bone, which seemingly qualifies Weiss' optimism. It still seems likely that Gonzalez, who sat out Tuesday, will remain out of the lineup Wednesday as a precaution, but he could be available as a substitute off the bench.
