Manager Terry Collins confirmed Jason Bay (rib) is on track to return to the Mets on Friday. If all goes as planned, Bay will be used as the designated hitter during interleague games this weekend. The 33-year-old has been out since April 23 with a non-displaced fractured rib. He is expected to play left field for High-A St. Lucie on Monday.
