Manager Scott Servais reported Tuesday that Paxton (forearm) will require a rehab start and likely won't be activated from the disabled list until the end of the Mariners' upcoming eight-game road trip, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Paxton is expected to throw a bullpen session Wednesday or Thursday followed by a minor-league rehab start. The Mariners' upcoming road trip runs from May 23 to May 30, so based upon the manager's comments, it's looking like Paxton is targeting a late-May return, barring any setbacks.
