Manager Robin Ventura said prior to Sunday's game against the Tigers that Shuck was dealing with shoulder soreness, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Shuck collided with teammate Jason Coats while pursuing a flyball in Saturday's game, and while Coats took the brunt of the contact -- leaving the contest and requiring five stitches on his mouth -- Shuck didn't escape unscathed. It's still expected that Shuck will be available off the bench, but Ventura probably won't call his number unless totally necessary.
