Manager Pete Mackanin said he has yet to determine where Bailey fits into his pen, but he will not be made the closer, Ryan Lawrence of the Philly Voice reports.

Bailey was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley this week. He was in the mix for closing duties this spring, but was sent to the minors to give him time to build up more arm strength. Jeanmar Gomez is currently closing for the Phillies, but he is no sure bet to hold the job all year. Bailey could work his way into the closing role if he pitches well and if Gomez hits a rough patch.
