Manager Mike Redmond expects an announcement regarding Stanton's status for the rest of the season by Wednesday, the Sun-Sentinel's Juan C. Gonzalez reports. Stanton posted photos of his face Tuesday, and it certainly looks a lot better than it did initially after he suffered a facial fracture after Mike Fiers pitch hit him last week. Tuesday was also the day when his stitches were expected to be removed. Owners will want to monitor his status Wednesday for word of whether the star slugger will return to the field this season, but the general consensus is that he has likely played his last game in 2014.
