Owings has begun taking batting practice and seemed to be on pace to return from the DL next weekend, but the Diamondbacks will take it slow with his recovery process. Look for Owings to make appearances in several rehab games across multiple levels over the next two weeks, allowing the Diamondbacks to get a longer look at Didi Gregorius as their everyday shortstop.
