Manager Bruce Bochy said Crawford (finger) was "much better" Thursday, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Crawford is out again Thursday after suffering a dislocated left pinkie finger during Tuesday's game. He will play catch Thursday to keep his arm in shape but that will be the extent of his activity. With that, a Friday return seems like a stretch, but it sounds like Crawford has a chance to make it back onto the field this weekend.
