Manager A.J. Hinch said Mike Fiers has been moved to the Astros' bullpen, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

With Justin Verlander and Lance McCullers (back) set to enter the rotation to start Tuesday and Wednesday, the Astros no longer need Fiers in their rotation, so he'll finish out the season in a long relief role. After an impressive June and July, Fiers struggled through his next seven starts, compiling a 8.03 ERA and 27:19 K:BB in 37 innings. He could see a spot start in September should an opportunity arise.
