Manaea (shoulder) is expected to be activated from the disabled list Sunday or Monday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

It appears Manaea is ready to rejoin the Athletics after tossing a four-inning rehab game at Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday. He allowed just one run and struck out five during that outing. The 25-year-old held a 5.18 ERA through 24.1 innings (five starts) before landing not he disabled list. He'll likely take the rotation spot of Jharel Cotton, who was optioned back to Triple-A Thursday.
