Making his first start since 2012, Tim Stauffer blanked the Cubs for five innings to win on Friday night. Stauffer was better than he needed to be, as the Padres gave him eight runs of support. He probably shouldn't get used to that, though. In truth, he was just thrilled to be back in the rotation in the first place. If he continues to pitch well while Robbie Erlin is out, he should get a chance to stick. He's not a great mixed-league pickup yet, but he should continue to have value in NL-only leagues.
