Making his first start in 20 days, Brett Anderson befuddled the Tigers' bats Tuesday, tossing six scoreless frames in the 2-0 ALDS Game 3 win. Anderson allowed just two singles, walked two and struck out six, showing no rust or ill effects from his oblique injury. A's manager Bob Melvin had hoped to get five innings out of the lefty, but he sent him out there for the sixth and Anderson wound up throwing just 80 pitches. The A's will send A.J. Griffin to the mound Wednesday in hopes of forcing a Game 5.
