Lynn (hip) is not expected to make his scheduled Grapefruit League start Friday, Jenifer Langosch of MLB.com reports. Manager Mike Matheny said "one of the kids" will likely start in place of Lynn, who has been diagnosed with a minor hip flexor strain. The right-hander suffered the injury Sunday during a spring outing and there is no set timetable for his return. Opening Day is still more than three weeks away, but Lynn's availability for the start of the year could be jeopardized if he's unable to take the bump the next time through the rotation.
