Lynn Henning of the Detroit News reports that Joel Hanrahan (elbow) is "still a longshot" to pitch for the Tigers this season. Making his way back from Tommy John surgery, Hanrahan is throwing bullpen sessions in extended spring training but has yet to face hitters and it's not clear when he might be ready to do so. The veteran reliever was only guaranteed $1 million by the Tigers, so while his lack of progress is disappointing, it's not a big blow.
