Lyles was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

The 25-year-old faltered in a starting role with Colorado earlier this year, posting a 7.64 ERA and 1.87 WHIP in four starts. He'll step into a long-relief role this time around, replacing Christian Bergman (oblique) in the bullpen, but he remains a big ratios risk given his propensity for walking batters and inability to miss bats.
