Luke Scott (calf) told reporters that he enjoyed his "best day yet" of running on Wednesday. Scott also said that he's "pretty darn close" to beginning a minor league rehab assignment. The 34-year-old designated hitter was placed on the disabled list at the end of spring training with a right calf strain. He should join the Rays by the end of this month.
