Lucroy went 0-for-5 with a strikeout in Monday's 10-8 loss to the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Rangers manager Jeff Banister gave Lucroy a day off behind the plate and used him at designated hitter, but that lineup choice didn't bear fruit, as Lucroy was the only Texas starter who failed to record a hit. Lucroy had previously occupied the cleanup spot in the lineup, but he moved down to sixth Monday with Adrian Beltre (calf) making his season debut. Now that Beltre is healthy again and set to assume an everyday role, Lucroy might slot into the bottom half of the order on a more regular basis, though it's not expected that his run-producing opportunities will take much of a hit.
