Lopez will likely close games if the opposition has several lefties lined up in the ninth inning, while Sergio Romo would get the call with right-handers scheduled to bat. Lopez has much better numbers on the season, however, posting a 1.59 ERA and 0.75 WHIP. Although Lopez should continue to be a relatively reliable source for holds, this boost in value will likely be temporary.
