Locke, who is dealing with bicep tendinitis, felt good after throwing both Saturday and Monday, Tim Healey of the Sun Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Locke has been moving along slowly since camp started, and manager Don Mattingly is hoping that will change now that he has had completed a pair of throwing sessions. "We're hoping we're over the hump and on a progression now," Mattingly said. He'll look to throw off a mound in the coming days, and should continue to progress from there, although his status for Opening Day remains uncertain. When the 29-year-old returns, he'll look to compete for a rotation spot, although may find himself in the bullpen due to his absence.
