Locke (4-3) tossed a complete game three-hit shutout in a win Monday over the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Locke had yet to last more than seven innings in a start before twirling this gem in Miami. He induced just six swinging strikes but drew a whopping 15 ground balls. As a result, he managed to eliminate two of the three baserunners he allowed with a double play and finished the game facing just one batter more than the minimum. It certainly helped that Locke was facing a Marlins lineup with Giancarlo Stanton, and even with this start, he has just a 4.33 ERA and a 33:24 K:BB in 60.2 innings.
