Lobaton (elbow) will begin a three-game rehab assignment with Triple-A Syracuse on Monday, Jorge Castillo of The Washington Post reports.

Lobaton expects to catch two of the games and play DH for the other contest before rejoining the Nationals. Once activated from the DL, he'll slot in as the team's backup catcher and see one or two starts per week.
