Lind was traded to the Mariners on Monday, Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
After losing Mark Trumbo, the Mariners were in search of a another first baseman to fill the void. It appears Adam Lind is the guy, though his splits would suggest he's a much better option against right-handed pitching (.291/.380/.503 with 20 home runs) than against southpaws (.221/.277/.298 with no homers). The veteran remains a solid defender, but could see a dip in production by moving to Seattle after playing his career in two hitter-friendly environments to this point.
