Lind (back) may play first base on Wednesday for the first time this spring, mlb.com's Adam McCalvy reports. A lower-back issue from last season resurfaced a couple of weeks ago, limiting Lind to DH duties since he made his Cactus League debut last week. He's still expected to be available for Opening Day, as his ability to serve as designated hitter indicates the injury isn't too serious. Lind figures to hit in the middle of the lineup against right-handed pitchers, but his at-bats against southpaws may be few and far between.
