Boyd (elbow) was non-tendered by the Tigers on Tuesday.

Boyd underwent flexor tendon surgery in late September and was likely to be unavailable for the start of the 2022 campaign, and Detroit opted not to tender him a contract. The 30-year-old lefty pitched well when healthy last season with a 3.89 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 67:23 K:BB over 78.2 innings (15 starts). He'll now need to contend with free agency in addition to his rehab program.
