Walters was released by the Angels on Saturday, Sarah Valenzuela of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Walters made his big-league debut at the tail end of last season but made just one appearance. He spent the bulk of the season at the Double-A level in the Brewers' organization, where he posted a 4.84 ERA and 63:15 K:BB across 44.2 innings.
