Lester (19-5) struggled in his final regular season start, allowing five runs on six hits, including a home run, and walking three in a loss to the Reds on Saturday. He also struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
The left-hander was on an absolutely incredible run, as he was 9-0 with a 0.96 ERA over his last 11 starts. That streak was snapped Saturday, though, with Lester allowing five runs for the first time since July 9. Despite the defeat, the south paw is still a prime candidate for the NL Cy Young award. He ends the year with a 2.44 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 192 strikeouts in 202.1 innings.
