Lee gashed his left hand at second base and will be out for a few weeks, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports. Lee is in his third year of playing at Triple-A Durham, limited in the past by injuries. There's a small chance he could have been a depth option for Tampa Bay as its infield depth is stretched thin by Logan Forsythe's shift to first base to cover James Loney's broken finger. Lee still hasn't played a position other than shortstop in the minors, so it looks his only viable path to the majors this year is only an injury to Asdrubal Cabrera.
