Leake allowed just two runs on four hits and no walks Sunday night against the Cardinals, striking out three. It wasn't good enough, as that second run in the eighth inning was the margin of victory. Leake needed just 86 pitches to get through those eight innings, throwing 66 of them for strikes. The first of the two runs came on a leadoff homer from Matt Carpenter, his third allowed for the season. His next start comes at home on Friday against the Cubs.
