Latos gave up one run on two hits and five walks with six strikeouts in 6.1 innings Tuesday against the Nationals to pick up his first win of the season. Latos said this was the best he's felt all season, and while the five walks are a bit unsightly, it does not matter if he is only giving up two hits. He was able to generate more ground balls (11) than in any of his previous starts this season and Latos also eclipsed 100 pitches for the first time this year. After a dreadful first start of the season Latos has given up three runs or fewer in five straight starts and appears to be settling into the starter fantasy owners thought they were getting in the draft.
