Lambo made his major league debut at first base Sunday, going 0-for-2 with a strikeout before being lifted for a pinch hitter. The Pirates gave Lambo a shot at first, bypassing fellow lefty Ike Davis for a day. The results weren't particularly encouraging, but Lambo was the final link on the Bucs' first triple play in Pittsburgh since 1993. The team auditioned Lambo at first base during spring training, but the former Dodgers farm hand failed in his bid to make the team.
