Lagares (thumb) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
The Mets will be without the former Gold Glover yet again Wednesday as Lagares continues to battle through a partially torn thumb ligament. Yoenis Cespedes will continue to start in center field with Lagares sidelined. Although there is optimism that Lagares will be able to avoid a stint on the DL, it's difficult to pinpoint when exactly he'll be ready to return to the lineup.
