Kyuji Fujikawa underwent Tommy John surgery on Tuesday. The reconstructive elbow procedure was performed by Dr. James Andrews and deemed a success. Fujikawa has already been placed on the 60-day disabled list and is unlikely to be ready to pitch for the Cubs again until June of next season. He signed a two-year, $9.5 million free agent contract with Chicago this past winter.
